States Offering Workforce Scholarships

Take advantage of this amazing opportunity in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, North Carolina, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Get your Medical Coding Certification at no cost to you.

Coding Clarified does not determine eligibility nor do we know what the eligibility criteria is. Each state differs in their determination requirements and to prevent Coding Clarified in finding people in the appropriate class the states do not release any type of eligibility criteria righteously so. If interested in the scholarships programs you need to find your state in the following alphabetic list and utilize the links provided. You will contact the local workforce and tell them you are wanting to become a medical coder and that you have an approved training provider in mind called Coding Clarified. Ask them what the next steps are in determining your eligibility is and follow those steps. Once approved, you will take the coding class for free.

ARIZONA

Contact your local workforce training center. Let them know that you are wanting to become a medical coder and ask them the next steps in determining eligibility. Inform them that you have a medical coding training school in mind, Coding Clarified, which is on their eligible training provider list. The CIP code for Arizona is Arizona CIP 510713. This number is what Az utilizes for us as their training provider.

ARKANSAS

Call an ACRS Administrator at (501) 682-3118 and ask them how to apply to get a scholarship for Coding Clarified. Below is our listing.

CALIFORNIA

Call the CA Workforce at 800-758-0398 and request Coding Clarified LLC for Oakland, N. California area. Click below to see more information.

Sort alphabetically by clicking on the “Provider” title on the third column over. You will find Coding Clarified on page 41.

COLORADO

Call the local workforce in your area tell them you are wanting to become a medical coder through an approved training provider on Colorado’s Eligible Training Provider List, called Coding Clarified and are wanting to see if you qualify to utilize the WIOA Grant for funding. GEORGIA

Contact the closest workforce career center in your area. Inform the representative you would like to identify if you qualify for eligibility for the WIOA Grant. Ask what your next steps are in determining the eligibility criteria for the WIOA Grant.

IDAHO

Call the local workforce and let them know that you want to become a medical coder through an approved training provider on the Idaho Eligible Training Provider List, called Coding Clarified and wanting to see if you qualify to utilize the WIOA Grant for the funding. INDIANA

Contact a WorkOne Center in your community near you by clicking the IN information button. The WorkOne centers can assist eligible customers for whom the Coding Clarified Program is a desirable career training option through regional funding for which the individual is eligible—whether WIOA funding or WRG WorkOne-assisted funding. Individual residents who meet the eligibility criteria for the Workforce Ready Grant may apply directly through the self-service application on the website to access one-time WRG funding. So, both WorkOne-assisted and self-service options are available to Indiana residents.

Choose the closest city or county on the map on the website and then contact the Workforce phone number assigned to that area. There is a general info number for IN Workforce center ( 888) 436-9092 but do not call unless you know what city/county you belong to.

Please notate that there are multiple grant opportunities in Indiana and the two links listed are for different grants which means if you don’t qualify for one try the other.

IOWA

You will need to work directly with the Title I Service Provider in your Local Workforce Development Area (LWDA). Des Moines Iowa is their main workforce. Call 515-281-9619 and they can direct you to the closest workforce area to begin the eligibility process. Click on the button below for Iowa’s LWDA website.

On the next page, click on “ETPL Approved Programs”, the 3rd option down. This brings you to a spreadsheet, click on the 3rd column, ”Provider” it will alphabetize the providers. KANSAS

Find your nearest American Job Center and contact them. You will meet with a case manager to discuss an employment plan and enrollment into a WIOA program.

KENTUCKY

Contact your local workforce training center. Let them know your wanting to become a medical coder and ask them the next steps in determining eligibility. Inform them that Coding Clarified is the chosen training school in mind on their eligible training provider list. You will call the local workforce tell them that you are wanting to become a medical coder through an approved training provider on Idaho’s reciprocal agreement with Missouri called Coding Clarified. See if you qualify to utilize the WIOA Grant for the funding and ask what the next step in determining your eligibility is. Reiterate that Coding Clarified is an approved training provider on the Idaho Eligible Training Provider List and that Missouri has a reciprocal agreement. MONTANA

Ask what the next steps are in determining your eligibility. Reiterate that Coding Clarified is an approved training provider on Idaho Eligible Training Provider List and that Montana has a reciprocal agreement. NEVADA

You need to call/email the local workforce and tell them that you are wanting to become a medical coder through an approved training provider on Arizona’s reciprocal agreement with Nevada called Coding Clarified and that you are wanting to see if you qualify to utilize the WIOA Grant for the funding. Ask them what the next steps are in determining your eligibility. Reiterate that Coding Clarified is an approved training provider on Arizona’s eligible training provider list and that Nevada has a reciprocal agreement. NEW MEXICO
You are going to call the local workforce tell them your wanting to become a medical coder through an approved training provider on New Mexico Eligible Training Provider List called Coding Clarified and wanting to see if you qualify to utilize the WIOA Grant for the funding. Ask them what are the next steps in determining your eligibility.
NORTH CAROLINA
Click on Job Seekers (left of sign in box at top) of below link, use drop down and choose Education & Training. This brings up the Search Criteria Screen. Change the “Area” state from North Carolina to “Any Location. In Keyword Box type in “Certified Professional Medical Coding Clarified LLC and school information will appear. Once you have done this, contact Raleigh/Central NC Workforce at (919)715-0111 and begin application/screening process for eligibility.
OHIO
Contact the workforce office in your area, explain that you are looking for Medical Coding Training. They will determine eligibility. The OhioMeansJobs centers handle this.
OKLAHOMA
Go to the website below and click on your location. Call your local workforce tell them that you are wanting to become a medical coder through Coding Clarified, an approved training provider on the Oklahoma Eligible Training Provider List and that you are wanting to see if you qualify to utilize the WIOA Grant. Ask them what the next steps are in determining your eligibility.
OREGON
Call the local workforce tell them that you would like to become a medical coder through an approved training provider on Idaho’s reciprocal agreement with Oregon, called Coding Clarified and that you are curious if you qualify to utilize the WIOA Grant for the funding. Ask them what are the next step in determining your eligibility is. Reiterate that Coding Clarified is an approved training provider on Idaho Eligible Training Provider List and that Oregon has a reciprocal agreement. SOUTH CAROLINA (Approved in some areas)

UTAH

If you don’t have an account created, create one at Jobs.utah.gov. On their site, on the right hand side click sign in, on the drop down menu go to my job search. Once you are logged in, click on apply for training services, fill out the application. Once the application is submitted, 3-5 days later a counselor will contact you via email and/or by phone. If you haven’t heard anything in 3 business days then you can call 801-526-0950.

When a career counselor contacts you via telephone, say that you are interested in the WIOA Grant funding and that you have a school In mind, Coding Clarified. Tell them that Coding Clarified is an approved training provider on Idaho Eligible Training Provider List and that Utah has a reciprocal agreement. VERMONT
Contact the Vermont WIOA Workforce 802 828-4000 and push option 3 to start the process. Here is our listing on page four.
WASHINGTON
