Coding Clarified does not determine eligibility nor do we know what the eligibility criteria is. Each state differs in their determination requirements and to prevent Coding Clarified in finding people in the appropriate class the states do not release any type of eligibility criteria righteously so. If interested in the scholarships programs you need to find your state in the following alphabetic list and utilize the links provided. You will contact the local workforce and tell them you are wanting to become a medical coder and that you have an approved training provider in mind called Coding Clarified. Ask them what the next steps are in determining your eligibility is and follow those steps. Once approved, you will take the coding class for free.
ARIZONA
Contact your local workforce training center. Let them know that you are wanting to become a medical coder and ask them the next steps in determining eligibility. Inform them that you have a medical coding training school in mind, Coding Clarified, which is on their eligible training provider list. The CIP code for Arizona is Arizona CIP 510713. This number is what Az utilizes for us as their training provider.
ARKANSAS
Call an ACRS Administrator at (501) 682-3118 and ask them how to apply to get a scholarship for Coding Clarified. Below is our listing.

COLORADO

IDAHO

INDIANA
Contact a WorkOne Center in your community near you by clicking the IN information button. The WorkOne centers can assist eligible customers for whom the Coding Clarified Program is a desirable career training option through regional funding for which the individual is eligible—whether WIOA funding or WRG WorkOne-assisted funding. Individual residents who meet the eligibility criteria for the Workforce Ready Grant may apply directly through the self-service application on the website to access one-time WRG funding. So, both WorkOne-assisted and self-service options are available to Indiana residents.

Please notate that there are multiple grant opportunities in Indiana and the two links listed are for different grants which means if you don’t qualify for one try the other.
IOWA
You will need to work directly with the Title I Service Provider in your Local Workforce Development Area (LWDA). Des Moines Iowa is their main workforce. Call 515-281-9619 and they can direct you to the closest workforce area to begin the eligibility process. Click on the button below for Iowa’s LWDA website.

Find your nearest American Job Center and contact them. You will meet with a case manager to discuss an employment plan and enrollment into a WIOA program.

UTAH
If you don’t have an account created, create one at Jobs.utah.gov. On their site, on the right hand side click sign in, on the drop down menu go to my job search. Once you are logged in, click on apply for training services, fill out the application. Once the application is submitted, 3-5 days later a counselor will contact you via email and/or by phone. If you haven’t heard anything in 3 business days then you can call 801-526-0950.
When a career counselor contacts you via telephone, say that you are interested in the WIOA Grant funding and that you have a school In mind, Coding Clarified. Tell them that Coding Clarified is an approved training provider on Idaho Eligible Training Provider List and that Utah has a reciprocal agreement.
