The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides grant funding that may cover the full cost of your medical coding training. Follow the steps below in order. Read each step carefully before moving to the next.

Part 1: Apply for WIOA Grant Funding

  1. Find your closest WorkOne office: WorkOne Locations
  2. Use the site navigation to locate your county and contact your local WorkOne office.
  3. Request an eligibility screening for a WIOA Grant or Workforce Ready Grant (WRG) for training through Coding Clarified for medical coding.
    NOTE: Indiana offers several types of grants. Please ensure you exhaust all funding options available to you: the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Grant through your local WorkOne office, and the Workforce Ready Grant (WRG). To apply for WRG, visit Next Level Jobs, then contact WorkOne once you have applied.

    IMPORTANT: Write down your assigned caseworker's full name and email address. You will need this information for the next step. If you do not have a caseworker yet, that is okay. Complete the form without the caseworker information and we will update it at a later date by sending you a Proposal Update form.
  4. Complete the Proposal & Acceptance form in its entirety at the link below. This form generates the Proposal & Acceptance Letter that must be submitted to your caseworker:
