Hiring a new coder is hard when every candidate is certified but no one has real chart experience. Coding Clarified graduates are trained to close that gap. They earn the CPC through our online, instructor-guided program, practice on real redacted cases in AAPC Practicode, and code real charts in our HCC internship before they apply to you.

How Coding Clarified Graduates Are Different
- Credentialed: trained for the AAPC CPC exam across CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II, with a focus on the official guidelines.
- Practicode prepared: real, redacted cases across specialties with immediate feedback, completed after the course.
- Internship tested: real risk adjustment charts in our HCC internship, with audited accuracy.
- Apprenticeship ready: eligible to join a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship with your organization.
What Graduates Can Do on Day One
- Code office visits and outpatient encounters using current year code books and guidelines
- Assign ICD-10-CM codes with documentation support, including HCC capture
- Recognize when to query a provider
- Work in an EHR and encoder, and adapt to your workflows with training
How to Request Candidates
Tell us about your open role: setting, specialty, on-site, hybrid, or remote, and location. We share the opening with qualified graduates through our CPC-A Job Board, which students filter by state and work type, and we follow up with candidates who apply.
Host an Apprentice
Coding Clarified is a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship sponsor. You provide on-the-job training and a mentor; we handle registration, RAPIDS reporting, compliance tracking, and the related technical instruction. Read the employer apprenticeship FAQs and our Registered Apprenticeship programs. EMS agencies can also host EMT and paramedic apprentices.
Low Cost Hiring Pathways
As an ETPL listed provider in 30+ states, our related instruction may be grant funded for qualifying apprentices, and workforce boards may offer on-the-job training reimbursement for new hires. We help you identify what is available in your area. See how workforce funding works.
